Made From Scratch Series

Classes run monthly June 2010 – October 2010

The Made From Scratch Series is brought to you by Tom Douglas and Premera Blue Cross, with Lauren Oktay, N.D. as your healthy eating expert.

All classes will start with a 20-30 minute healthy eating lesson with demos!  You’ll also receive a binder full of healthy eating tips, recipes and resources.

Then, it’s on to the cooking (and eating). Kids and grown-ups will  learn how to cook healthy, delicious family suppers together with an emphasis on how to build a healthy pantry.

Fresh berries, crisp cucumbers, sweet peas and delicious tomatoes right from the garden are all things we look forward to during the beautiful Northwest Summers.  And this is the perfect time to get out and explore your local farmer’s market.

In this summer’s Made From Scratch series, we will focus on integrating staples from your pantry along with fresh fruits and vegetables from the farmer’s market to create healthy delicious family meals.

Classes are: June 19th SOLD OUT, July 24th SOLD OUT, August 14th SOLD OUT, September 18th SOLD OUT, October 9th SOLD OUT, November 13th, a handful of spaces still available.
