Fun Fact: Six to nine months
That’s how long it takes you to create new neural pathways to change (say many brain scientists). Which means if you are trying to take a couple of inches off your waist, or get more organized, or be less emotionally reactive, it might be 6 months or so before you are totally in the clear.
But that’s a good thing! Because along the way you can bring something lovely into being.
You don’t have to throw yourself head-first into change. Really.
If you’ve ever taken the white-knuckled path to change, you know it’s paved with shoulds and musts, and ends in a roadblock.
I can show you a more scenic route.
When we work together, change may not happen overnight. But it will happen–and when it does, it tends to stick around a while. You’ll often start having breakthroughs from the very first session.
Basically, good stuff happens when we work together.
You might come to me with a specific health goal in mind—losing weight, feeling better, making more room for yourself.
Along the way, something super-cool tends to happen.
You end up cultivating all of the best parts of yourself—confidence, openness, flexibility, joy, resilience, courage, kindness, humility, forgiveness, and lightheartedness. You become a possibility-discoverer!
And you may just start feeling okay being yourself. Which is the best gift you could give anyone else.
For me, developing these qualities is the real reward of our work together.

Great! It’s such a smart investment! You can look forward to feeling more energetic, balanced, and resilient.

- I’ll get back to you within 48 hours Monday-Friday to set up your first appointment. I tend to be booked out 2-4 weeks in advance for new clients.
- I meet most of my clients in my home office. I also have office hours downtown at Club ZUM and Be Luminous Yoga Studio. (You don’t need to be a member of Club ZUM or Be Luminous Yoga to see me at either location.)
- During our first appointment we’ll talk about your well-being desires and goals, your needs for accountability and support, and then get right into helping you move toward the healthy changes you seek. We’ll also set up our next 2 – 3 meetings. Most of my clients prefer to meet weekly or bi-monthly, same day, same time.
- Each session is about 55 minutes long. Initial sessions run a bit longer (75 minutes). I will also check-up in the week following our session via phone or email. Basically, you’ve got me in your corner, skillfully guiding you, rooting for you, and helping you work through the stuck spots.
- Payment is due at time of first session. Most of my clients pay by check, but if you would like to use your credit card, I am happy to invoice you via PayPal. (You can pay with your credit or debit card without needing a PayPal account.)
There are 2 options for health coaching:
Pay as you go: Single session: $135
Get a 3 session package: *Buy 3 sessions at once: $335
*I prefer this option. It’s easier to get a regular, consistent time slot on my calendar and it helps us both invest in your success.
All sessions must be scheduled within 12 months of purchase.
If you decide to work with me, I recommend a 4 session minimum commitment — because deep changes take focus, gentle attention, and practice, practice, practice. That said, I don’t have long-term contracts, and you are free to finish whenever you wish. Any unused sessions can be banked for future use or can be refunded on a pro-rated basis. Regardless of how many sessions we have together, my aim to help you fly solo with new insights, skills and strategies you keep for life.
A Couple More Good Things to Know
1) Everyone’s life is different. Everyone’s body is different. We will develop guidelines, plans, and habits that help restore your unique mind & body into healthy balance. And if weight loss is on top of your most-wanted list, I’ve got you covered! I’ve helped dozens and dozens of people reach a healthy weight while enjoying the process (really!).
2) Our work together will be a process of removing and adding. We’ll remove harmful foods and environmental toxins, dissolve internal obstacles, and work around the barriers in your way. We’ll add in nourishing foods, supplements, movement, and practices. We’ll laugh and have fun too.
From the very first minute of our meetings, we’ll be getting into the groove. You will walk away with insights, plans, and a clear ideas of what you can do to move forward.

Hey graduates! All that shiny new wiring you worked so hard to create is yours for life. What that means is you don’t have to focus so diligently anymore to get the results you want. Your new good-for-you way of being feels easier. It may even seem fairly automatic. (Congratulations!)
The maybe not-so-welcome news is the old habitual pathways are still there too. (Yep, for life.) And sometimes the going gets tough, and woah, suddenly, you are blazing down that old road. Don’t lose heart–there’s a scientific explanation! But forget that, call for back-up!
